Have you ever thought about joining a fraternity or sorority at your college or university? Couldn’t find one that you liked. What if you wanted to start your own. Would the structure be exclusive invitation or open to any student. I believe the biggest concern about joining a fraternity or sorority evolves around the financial cost.
Most students would enjoy the Greek lifestyle. It provides great support and opens up many avenues of important connections. It’s almost like having a second family. Many students might not be able to afford this additional cost factor.
Many fraternities and sororities have been established for well over 100 years. The longevity of these organizations might be the reason for such high membership dues to join. Starting your own may very well be cost prohibited. Some students just want to distance themselves from the toxic Greek life system of hazing.
Some students don’t feel the need to join these Greek lettered organizations. While being able to socialize with other members on a regular basis, some students actually just go to college for an education.
